🏍️ Ride Out Report – IAM Carmarthen & West Wales Advnanced Motorists | Sunday 29th June

Despite the ever-unpredictable Welsh weather doing its best impersonation of all four seasons in one day, a fantastic group of 11 riders gathered on Sunday for a cracking ride through some of the best roads in West Wales.

🌦️ It was one of those “sunglasses on, waterproofs off… no wait—reverse that!” kind of days. True to form, the rain came in sideways just long enough to clean the visors before the sun made a triumphant return….if you didn’t like the weather, you just had to wait five minutes.

🚦 Led with precision and calm by Andrew Hurton, the ride began at Morrisons in Carmarthen and swept its way through scenic roads to Newcastle Emlyn, Cardigan . The route offered a brilliant mix to keep everyone focused and smiling (despite the occasional soggy gloves).

☕ Our stop at Sarnau Army Surplus was a highlight—not just for the coffee and pasties, but for the great browse around the shop. Who knew you needed a thermal bivvy bag and a pair of camo socks halfway through a ride?

🙌 Huge thanks to Emyr Morris, who served as our ever-reliable last man—keeping the group together with good humour and a steady throttle all day.

Whether dodging showers or catching sunny spells, everyone rode with confidence.

Here’s to more miles, more smiles—and maybe one consistent weather forecast next time!
